# 3.0 - INSTALL LINCTV WITH AN LG HEALTHCARE GRADE TV

### Before you begin

You will need the LG installer-menu access code. A common sequence is to press \*\*Menu\*\* repeatedly, enter \*\*9-8-7-6\*\*, then press \*\*Enter\*\*. Contact Lincata below if you cannot access the installer menu.

Lincata **recommends factory-resetting an LG TV before changing installer-menu settings**, especially when a pillow speaker will be used.

### Factory-reset the TV

1. Open the LG installer menu.
2. Navigate to \*\*Menu 117 (Fact Default)\*\*.
3. Set the value to \*\*413\*\* and press \*\*OK\*\*.
4. When prompted for a password, enter \*\*0413\*\* and press \*\*OK\*\*.
5. Wait for the TV to turn off and restart. If it does not restart, turn it on after two minutes.
6. On startup, select \*\*Exit\*\* for any prompts.

### Configure LG installer-menu settings

Settings can vary by TV model and firmware. Use the TV's installation manual as the source of truth. The following settings are commonly required for LincTV.

A TV settings configuration file (TLX) can be built and applied via USB by visiting http://cct.procentric.tv/

| Strt Channel (004) | 0 | Allows the TV to start on an auxiliary source instead of a tuned channel. |
| Hospital Mode (027) | 0-255 value of 1 typical | Enables the pillow speaker port and sets speaker audio and voltage behavior. A typical setup is 001: Speaker via pillow only, Zenith +12V, Zenith Bed #1 IR schema. |
| EXTCTL/ACKMASK (030) | Varies | Enables external control. Ask Lincata for the correct value for the TV's operating mode. | HDMI1 Enabled (035) | 2 | Enables the HDMI input used by LincTV. |
| Strt Aux Srce (046) | Typical values are 3 for HDMI 1, 5 for HDMI 2, and 7 for HDMI 3 | HDMI input used by LincTV; Sets the TV's startup input. |
| Aux Status (047) | 1 | Sets MPI to output the auxiliary source. |
| HDMI2/3 En (091/092) | 2 | Enables the HDMI input when HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 is used. |
| Power Savings (118) | 1 | Keeps MPI and TLT ports available while the TV is powered off. |

### Important notes

- Older LG TVs may require current CPU or PTZ updates for full external-control support.
- You can create and apply a TV settings configuration file by USB through LG's Pro:Centric configuration tools.
