Epic Activity Carousel Configuration Details

Epic allows configuration of the home screen of Epic Bedside TV with an activity carousel, known from within Epic hyperspace as FDI records.

These are the primary way 3rd party apps and other TV control behaviors are displayed to patients from within Bedside TV.

Lincata has prepared configuration details for FDIs that cover a full range of capabilities for TV control and 3rd party apps.

Health systems can talk to their Epic TS assigned to their Bedside TV project to get assistance in configuring the FDIs.

Appropriate apps will need to be uploaded to the LincTV MDM server prior to configuring Epic Bedside TV.

Activity Carousel FDIs

Apps can have custom Icons and/or labels provided in the build but are not included in these build instructions. Please coordinate with Lincata and your Epic Analyst if the use of custom icons are required.

1. Play Live TV via the TVs Cable Input – (requires TV control cord installation and supported TV)

2. Play Live TV via Lincata’s IPTV application

3. Launch Swank Patient Entertainment app (requires device registration and test license with Swank)

4. Launch LincTV Manager. This app will not be displayed to patients in production but is helpful to have easy access in a Test environment.
